A crazy scientist, Victor, performs an experiment on a dead person, bringing him back to life. The reason for this experiment was that the scientist wanted fame. Eventually, things get out of hand, and the Frankenstein’s man turns into a monster. The monster then goes on to destroy the scientist’s brother. When Victor meets the monster the next time, he kills him and dumps the remains of the monster into a lake. The monster somehow comes back and goes on to kill Victor’s friend Henry and Victor’s bride, Elizabeth. The rest of the book focuses on Victor’s quest for revenge on the monster.
I would recommend this to those who like a combo of sci-fi, mystery and adventure, because Mary Shelley does a great job of going into depth at every turn of the book, especially the ending.
