Scary Book Review–Marilyn: Carrie by Stephen King

Carrie is a horror story by Stephen King about a teenage girl who discovers her telekinesis powers. When Carrie gets her first period at school, she is mocked for thinking she was dying. After a series of events, the most popular girl at school, Chris, is banned from the prom, and feels that it is Carrie’s fault. Chris plots to ruin prom night by embarrassing Carrie in front of the dance. Carrie is angered, and uses her powers to destroy everyone. Soon, she is rampaging around the city. Finally, Chris and her boyfriend try to kill Carrie, but only it only backfires.

I would recommend this book to people who would like to read in the horror genre, but do not enjoy to be spooked, because Carrie is not as scary as one would think at first. The way the story is written is very interesting, and it gives the reader the point of views of many different characters.
